Tips & Tricks for Using WristWriter®
1) Unit is shipped ready for use by right handed people
and is intended to be worn on the left hand with the knobs facing out.
2) If the user is left handed it is simple to reconfigure.
Just pull out the shafts and switch the paper roll and the take up roll
positions and re-insert the shafts. Now you are ready to put the WristWriter
on your right hand and start taking notes.
3) Put the pencil in the shaft for convenient placement,
this pencil is custom made to fit in either shaft and if you loose it,
don’t worry you can order more on line.
4) Once a roll is full just pull out the shafts
reinstall the empty core in the take up position and install a new roll
in the feed position and peel the paper out enough to tape the end of
the new roll to the take up roll and wind up several inches. Any tape
will do, (not included).
5) Save the full roll in a box and date it for future
reference, as this will give you a running account of things you accomplished
as well as who you met, what your mileage was, phone numbers ….
6) Important note: This device will take a short period
of time to get accustomed to (approximately 7 days). It is recommended
to adjust the wrist band just snug enough that it is not sloppy, if it
feels too tight then readjust so that you don’t affect your circulation.
7) Once you have become acclimated to this product you
will wonder what you did before you had one and will be lost with out
it.
8) If you will be using the extra hook pads for a tape
measure or other device, cut the patch so that it fits the back of the
device to be attached and trim so that none of the hooks overhang the
wrist band when applied as this may cause irritation. It is recommended
that you clean the surface with alcohol before applying the hook patch.
9) If splines get worn, simply heat a knife with a lighter
and score the shaft thereby making new splines.
10) If more friction is desired use a heated knife to
make a nick in the raised portion of the shaft
